The Spanish and American security forces captured a ship with a Russian crew, heading for St. Petersburg. The sailors were kept in the port for three days and threatened with weapons, accusing of smuggling.
The Baltic Summer container ship came from Puerto-Bolivar's port in Ecuador. In neutral waters off the coast of Portugal, the ship under the Bahami flag abruptly stopped corsaras from the Spanish Navy in company with the FBI of the United States. The ship was suspected of transporting funny smuggling from South America.
The participants in the events told us that about 20 special forces were landing on board, the containers were dragged into the port of Vigo. The security forces behaved defiantly: they threatened to throw drugs, released racist jokes about immigrants from the CIS and waved a weapon in front of the faces of the sailors. All this lasted three days, the guys practically did not sleep. We were not allowed to call the consul to the aid of the consul.
The Spaniards turned the entire ship, opened several containers with a load, tried to force the captain to put a signature on a clean sheet, but could not complain about anything – they did not find any forbidden on board. Now all 23 sailors must be released to the port of destination.
