Nicușor Dan, after the meeting of the Coalition of Will: “The security of Romania and the entire continent is closely linked to that of Ukraine”

President Nicușor Dan participated on Tuesday, February 24, on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the start of the Russian invasion in Ukraine, at the meeting of the Coalition of the Will, together with European leaders and international partners who share the same position towards Moscow's aggression. In the message sent after the meeting, the head of state reaffirmed Romania's firm support for Kyiv.

In a post on the X platform, Nicușor Dan conveyed that Romania will continue to be a reliable partner for Ukraine, both militarily and diplomatically, and emphasized the importance of maintaining Western unity in the face of war.

“Romania will continue to provide all necessary support to Ukraine to defend itself and negotiate peace from a position of strength”, the president wrote in his post, insisting that regional security depends on Kiev's ability to resist Russian aggression.

The head of state praised the resistance of the Ukrainian people, which he considers exemplary.

“Ukraine is fighting with dignity and courage to defend us all, and for that we are grateful. Such a long period of war makes the resilience of the Ukrainian people all the more admirableah. We stand with you to achieve a just and comprehensive peace and to establish security guarantees to prevent the possibility of further Russian aggression“, said Nicușor Dan.

Nicușor Dan also emphasized the need to strengthen security guarantees for Ukraine, warning that the stability of the entire continent depends on its ability to prevent new aggressions.

“This remains essential for us, because the security of Romania and the entire continent is closely linked to that of Ukraine”the president pointed out.
