More than 15 thousand people celebrated Maslenitsa in Krasnoyarsk

In Krasnoyarsk, more than 15 thousand people took part in Maslenitsa festivities. This was reported to the mayor's office.
The main venue for the holiday was Tatyshev Park, which was visited by more than 12.5 thousand people. The townspeople spent the winter and welcomed spring with active games, a concert program and treats from the fair. Various thematic photo locations were especially popular, one of which was created based on the fun “Taking the Snow Town”.
The holiday was not complete without sports grounds: guests took part in the games “Twist”, running in sacks, tug of war, throwing felt boots, relay races with giant bast shoes and bowling with nesting dolls. More than 50 Krasnoyarsk residents tried to conquer the Maslenitsa pillar, but only 12 lucky ones managed to take home the prizes. The winners received household appliances and various useful gadgets as gifts.
On stage, guests of the festival could see not only interesting concert performances, but also participate in various interactive events. In a solemn atmosphere, awards were presented to the winners of the Maslenitsa scarecrow competition “Burn-Burn Clearly,” in which more than 40 city institutions took part. At the end of the program, Krasnoyarsk residents were treated to the burning of an effigy of Maslenitsa.
In the Kirov region, the holiday was held for the first time in the village of Suvorovsky. 200 people took part in the Maslenitsa procession. The townspeople danced in circles, sang songs and took part in folk games.
In the Zheleznodorozhny district, almost a thousand pancakes were eaten during Maslenitsa week. The celebrations took place in Kalininsky Square and in the children's auto town on Bryanskaya Street, where Auto Maslenitsa took place. In addition, the holiday was organized in courtyards, for example, on Kuibysheva Street, 85, where residents were treated to pancakes right at the entrance.
In the Leninsky district, Maslenitsa was celebrated on the square of the House of Culture named after. May 1st. In the Sovetsky district, festivities took place in Solnechnaya Polyana Park. There, the most popular place was the one with pancakes from the head of the district administration, Elena Lanina, prepared according to her grandmother’s recipe.
More than 500 people attended the holiday in the Central region. 11 daredevils tried to conquer the ice pillar with valuable prizes, three of them reached the top. On Yaryginskaya embankment, citizens were greeted by a six-meter scarecrow of Maslenitsa, there were interactive platforms, photo zones and performances by artists. At the end, the townspeople took part in the traditional Maslenitsa procession.
All events took place within the framework of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.
