

The amount of such assistance will be 6.5 thousand UAH.
“The program is designed for people who need the most support: orphans, children in care, children with disabilities in foster families, IDP children, IDPs with disabilities, single pensioners. Funds will be credited automatically through the Pension Fund. The launch of the program is scheduled for early December,” the prime minister noted.
Sviridenko clarified that the funds could be spent on medicines, clothes, and shoes. According to her, the program will cover more than 660 thousand people.
The day before, the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Denis Ulyutin reported that Ukrainians will be able to apply for 1 thousand UAH, as well as an additional 6.5 thousand UAH for vulnerable groups of the population under the Winter Support program from November 15 to December 15.
Context
The fact that the state will probably provide Ukrainians with a one-time cash payment as part of the Winter Support package was announced by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on November 1. He explained that the details of the “Winter Support” programs should be announced by the head of government before November 15.
According to Zelensky, almost 14 million Ukrainians received 1 thousand UAH last winter. Ukrainians then spent approximately 60% of their funds on utilities.
