Krasnoyarsk residents were told how to get into the cosmonaut corps

In early February, Roscosmos announced the start of selection for the cosmonaut corps. Cosmonaut Kirill Peskov, a native of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, reminded his fellow countrymen of this, reports gornovosti.ru.
Russians no older than 35 years old as of December 31, 2025 can apply. The future astronaut must not have chronic diseases and must be in good physical shape. The height limit for qualifying is 190 cm, and weight is 90 kg. The minimum values are 150 cm and 50 kg. Foot size should not exceed size 46.
Candidates with tattoos will not be selected unless they are blood type or letters up to three centimeters in diameter. However, they will also have to be brought together in case of successful completion.
A university degree in the exact, natural or medical sciences with a GPA of at least 4.0 is also required. You also need at least three years of professional experience in your specialty after graduation. Documents are accepted until June 30, details are indicated on the Roscosmos website.
Those who pass the correspondence stage will face serious challenges. Candidates will have to prove endurance, strength, agility, as well as resistance to overload, weightlessness and hypoxia. Standards include cross-country skiing, freestyle or breaststroke swimming, pull-ups on the horizontal bar, holding an angle on the uneven bars, shuttle running and other exercises.
