Today, February 23, on Defender of the Fatherland Day, Krasnoyarsk residents honored the memory of the soldiers. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.
The ceremony of laying flowers and wreaths at the Eternal Flame took place at the Krasnoyarsk Victory Memorial.
The event was attended by the governor of the region Mikhail Kotyukov, the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region Alexey Dodatko, the head of Krasnoyarsk Sergey Vereshchagin, family members of deceased military personnel, heads of government and municipalities, veterans, cadets, representatives of public organizations, youth and patriotic movements, city residents.
The memory of the fallen soldiers was honored with a minute of silence and a salvo of weapons.
The event ended with a parade parade. Representatives of military training centers of Krasnoyarsk universities, the Siberian Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, students of the Krasnoyarsk Cadet Corps named after A.I. Lebed, Youth Army members and activists of “Post No. 1”.
