The prosecutor suggested that the court sentence ex-State Duma deputy Sergei Natarov to 14 years of general regime with a fine of 5 million rubles. with restriction of freedom for 2 years and deprivation of the right to hold leadership positions for 5 years.
The prosecutor suggested that his son Anton Natarov be sentenced to 13 years of general regime with a fine of 3 million rubles.
For the other defendants, speaking in the debate, the prosecutor proposed a sentence ranging from suspended imprisonment to 17 years of maximum security, said the defendant’s lawyer, Alexander Khropot.
“The prosecutor did not evaluate any of the key evidence refuting the accusation presented by the defense over more than 2 years of judicial investigation, as well as the refuting statements in court by about 100 witnesses, limiting himself to a partial announcement of the wording of the indictment, as if he did not take part in the court hearings,” the lawyer said.
Let us remind you that among the violations of the law charged to Sergei Natarov are “illegal trade markups” and “artificially inflated prices” for supplied goods. The case included data on a premium of 10-35%, although other entrepreneurs, called as witnesses in court, said that they themselves apply a premium of up to 100%. The expert who calculated the amount of damage could not explain what formula he used for this, and the head of the Turukhansky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Oleg Sheremetyev, stated that Sergei Natarov had nothing to do with the supply of goods to Igarka.
