On February 19, Sergei Vereshchagin arrived at the site and, as he himself wrote on his social networks, “looked through people’s eyes at what was happening.”

First of all, the strengthening of the slope was discussed at the meeting. The retaining wall at houses No. 22a on 2nd Ogorodnaya and No. 35a on Dachnaya was installed, the contractor moved to house No. 24. Residents wanted to see a road map with clear deadlines and types of work, the mayor ordered it to be presented by the end of next week.

Also at the meeting, pressing issues were raised issues of flooding and Housing and communal services. It is reported that soil soaking should be avoided in the basements of houses No. 24 and No. 25. Part of the water supply and sewerage systems have been replaced. After the snow melts, experts will begin an inspection to identify the old networks of the demolished private sector – it is possible that dampness in the basements of houses remains because of them. It is also necessary to fill the area, eliminate sinkholes in the yard, and adjust the schedule for the removal of solid waste – the mayor instructed the services to take control of decisions on these requests.

“In general, a lot of work has been done by the city, but the matter has not yet been brought to a positive conclusion. We will press on,” concluded Sergei Vereshchagin.
