Is there a chance to heal the adjudication system? Officials quoted by TVN24 announce a thorough reconstruction of the regulations, but We will only see the effect in 2028.
“The Ministry recognizes that in the case of permanent, irreversible diseases, such a lack of administrative continuity is burdensome and sometimes perceived as incomprehensible. As part of the work on the reconstruction of the adjudication model, solutions are being analyzed that could ensure a smoother transition between two different systems,” we read in the commentary of the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy.

He adds that the area of transition from one system to another is also being analyzed – so as to limit situations in the future in which a person formally “starts from scratch” on their 16th birthday.

“The experience of recent months shows that even statutory deadlines may be insufficient. Therefore, as part of the review of the Act and work on systemic changes, the possibility of introducing solutions that will shorten the waiting time in special situations, while maintaining the reliability and legal security of decisions is being analyzed,” we read in the ministry's statement quoted by TVN24.
The ministry is now working on translating the recommendations into specific solutions. An application for entry into the list of government legislative works is being prepared. The project is scheduled to be submitted to parliament by the end of the year.
