In Krasnoyarsk, two local residents will face trial for stealing sweets from a store. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region.

The police found that in September 2025, two friends planned to steal goods from a supermarket in Krasnoyarsk.

On the sales floor they took from the display case 49 chocolate bars totaling about 6.5 thousand rubles. After that, the thieves hid the sweets under their jackets and left the store unhindered.

“The guys took the kidnapped person to a nearby market, where they offered to buy all the chocolate for 4 thousand rubles to a stranger. The buyer agreed, but said that he would transfer the money later. Having handed over the goods to the buyer and not waiting for immediate payment, the young people immediately decided to commit a new theft and returned to the same supermarket,” told the regional police.

However, supermarket security guards, who saw the theft on video, They stopped the young people and called the police. The guys were detained by those who arrived at the scene law enforcement officers.

Regarding kidnappers a criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy.” Them a preventive measure was chosen in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior.

Currently, the criminal case with an approved indictment has been sent to court for consideration on the merits. The sanction of the article provides for punishment up to 5 years of imprisonment.
