In Russia, the Old Slavonic names are gaining popularity for newborns. This was told by the Minister of Social Development of the Moscow Region Andrei Kiryukhin.
Among the boys the names Belomir, Borislav, Dobrynya, Svyatogor and Tikhomir are popular, and among the girls – Bogdan, Darina, Fun, Lada and Miroslava.
Of particular interest is paired names: Vladislav and Vladislav, Luchezar and Luchezar, Radomir and Radomir. This fashion is spreading throughout the country, writes North Press With reference to Sputnik radio.
