Pursuant to the Act on pensions and annuities from the Social Insurance Fund, the annual indexation of benefits is based on the average annual price index of consumer goods and services for the households of retirees and disability pensioners, which in 2025 amounted to 104.2%, and the real increase in the average salary, which reached 5.5%.

The indexation rate of pensions and annuities in 2026 will be 105.3%. The indexation mechanism consists in multiplying the amount of the benefit and the basis for its assessment by the indexation index. This means that from March 1, benefits will be increased by 5.3%.

From March 1, 2025, the lowest pension, pension for total incapacity for work, survivors' pension and social pension is PLN 1,878.91. In turn, the lowest pension for partial incapacity for work is PLN 1,409.18. In 2025, benefits were increased by 5.5%. (PAP)
