In Yemelyanovo, the fictitious wife of a SVO soldier received a sentence for attempting to steal 9 million

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, three people were convicted of attempting to steal 9 million rubles. This was reported to the regional prosecutor's office.

According to the supervisory authority, in 2024, a citizen of Uzbekistan dreamed of obtaining a temporary residence permit in the Russian Federation and entered into a fictitious marriage with a resident of the village of Emelyanovo. Soon she gave birth to a child from another man, and in the meantime her husband signed a contract, went to the Northern Military District and died while performing a combat mission.

Having learned about the payments – more than 9 million rubles in benefits and compensation for the widow and child – the woman was not at a loss. Together with two acquaintances, she developed a plan. It consisted of submitting an application to the relevant departments, keeping silent about the fictitiousness of the marriage, receiving the money and dividing it. However, law enforcement became aware of the scheme.

“Based on the materials of the regional FSB Directorate, a criminal case was initiated. The operatives worked quickly: they seized phones with correspondence about the scheme, a video recording of the confession of fictitiousness, and found witnesses – the mother of the deceased, neighbors. Searches confirmed the intent. The suspects were arrested: the woman was sent under house arrest, and the rest were taken into custody,” the prosecutor’s office said.

The prosecutor's office filed lawsuits and the court declared the marriage invalid – the hero's mother received the payments. A claim to revoke paternity in the interests of the child is pending.

In court, the group leader fully repented, but her accomplices did not. The court found the accomplices guilty of attempted payment fraud (Part 3 of Article 30, Part 4 of Article 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The woman received 3 years in prison, deferred until her daughter turns 14, and the accomplices received 4 years in a general regime colony.
