In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, drunk drivers were responsible for the death of 101 people in a year

In 2025, 306 accidents occurred in the Krasnoyarsk Territory due to the fault of drunk motorists. 101 people died in them, another 354 were injured, the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
In just two months of 2026, 11 such accidents were recorded: one person died, 16 were injured. In total, 2,459 drivers have been caught drunk driving since the beginning of the year. 178 of them are repeat offenders who got behind the wheel while intoxicated again.
The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds: for the first recorded case of driving while intoxicated, you face a fine of 45 thousand rubles and deprivation of your license for up to two years. Repeated violations result in criminal liability.
