In 2025, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the number of registrations of IT crimes decreased by 12.3%, and law enforcement officers managed to solve a quarter of them.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region reported that more than 10 thousand residents became victims of fraudsters when committing remote thefts, of which 327 were aged 14 to 17 years, 1,460 were 18-24 years old, 2,529 were from 30 to 39, 1,318 were 60 years and older.
According to the head of the police of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Alexander Solovyov, positive results in reducing the number of crimes in the region were achieved through large-scale preventive work, including the complete development of the residential sector.
During the work, law enforcement officers covered 780 thousand citizens and visited more than 10 thousand different organizations.
“This year we will focus our efforts on two-stage preventive work in work collectives and educational institutions. As before, special attention will be paid to elderly citizens. It is planned to introduce a system for automatically making calls with appropriate warnings to landline phones, as well as sending SMS messages to mobile devices,” added Alexander Solovyov.
Let us recall that earlier it became known that the State Duma, in the first reading, adopted the second package of legislative measures to protect Russians from fraudsters. The document was developed by the Russian government and contains about 20 initiatives. The measures should contribute to a more effective fight against cybercrime, primarily related to the theft of funds.
