What are the numbers for the SAFE program?

Before leaving for this meeting, the head of the Polish government issued a statement about Wednesday's meeting of the National Security Council. The topics discussed during Wednesday's National Security Council included the SAFE program, which provides for almost PLN 44 billion in low-interest loans from the EU for defense, the issue of inviting Poland to the Peace Council established on the initiative of US President Donald Trump, and “explanation of all circumstances of Eastern social and business contacts of the Speaker of the Sejm, Włodzimierz Czarzasty.”

— Information and discussion about the SAFE program was an important and serious point, Tusk said in the morning. — I didn't really understand what the doubts of the president and his associates were. Both the head of the Ministry of National Defense and the generals presented comprehensive information on this subject. I hope that the grimaces of reluctance are not a sign of a veto, said the Prime Minister.

The second topic was the Peace Council. — We should use our good relations around the world to benefit Poland. Our country is a faithful ally of the United States. I am a supporter of transatlantic ties. However, we will not be anyone's vassal, Tusk said. — Today, the Peace Council seems like an innovative endeavor, but you can't just agree. I know it perfectly well. I have watched politicians who just nod and it doesn't end well. Many countries have doubts about the Peace Council.

— The National Security Council is not a place to discuss social contacts. It was unreasonable of the president for someone to be involved in one or another environment. For this reason, after discussing two important points, I left the meeting. Minister Siemoniak provided information about this pseudo-scandal – emphasized Donald Tusk.
