United Russia has denied the influence of Sergei Natarov on the appointment of the head of Igarka, the lawyer believes

The prosecution's version is that ex-State Duma deputy and curator of the LDPR in the Krasnoyarsk Territory Sergei Natarov ensured the appointment of Yevgeny Nikitin to the post of head of Igarka in 2017 with the aim of creating a criminal group, which was refuted by a letter from United Russia. The lawyer of the accused, Alexander Khropot, spoke about this.

The defense provided the court with a letter from the secretary of the Krasnoyarsk regional branch of the United Russia party, Alexey Dodatko, addressed to the deputies of the city of Igarka, in which the deputies were asked to support the candidacy of United Russia member Evgeny Nikitin for the post of head of the city.

The defense also provided the minutes of a meeting of the Council of Deputies of the city of Igarka, according to which Nikitin’s candidacy was discussed along with other candidates. The decision to elect Nikitin was made by all 11 deputies of different political parties.

“The former chairman of the City Council of Deputies of Igarka, Fyodor Sukhinin, as well as other deputies, in their testimony, denied any influence of Sergei Vasilyevich or other persons in the election of the head of the city in 2017. What powers does a State Duma deputy have to appoint municipal heads and heads of enterprises? How can deputies of the LDPR party in the minority influence deputies of United Russia? The prosecutor has no answers, just like the rest of the arguments,” said lawyer Alexander Khropot.

At the same time, according to the lawyer, Nikitin reported in court that in 2019, after refusing to conclude contracts with the company Restro LLC, controlled by the head of the transport police department Anatoly Nazhmetdinov and the head of the Krasnoyarsk customs post Marat Dudarov, he was removed from the post of head of the city of Igarka on the initiative of the transport prosecutor Ilya Sukhonosov, and a criminal case was opened against him.
