On Tuesday, Budimex concluded an agreement with Gaz-System for the construction of the first stage of the Lwówek Gas Compressor Station – the construction company announced in a stock exchange announcement. The maximum value of the contract is PLN 481.1 million.

According to Budimex's announcement, the company's offer was considered the most advantageous. The maximum value of the contract is PLN 481.1 million and includes remuneration of PLN 434.3 million. The commencement date of the works was set as immediately from the conclusion of the contract, and the deadline for their completion was 23 months from the date of conclusion of the contract. Budimex is to receive 15 percent. gross remuneration in the form of an advance payment. The maximum value of contractual penalties was set at 25%. net remuneration for the basic scope.

“The Management Board of Budimex SA informs that on February 10, 2026, an agreement was concluded between Budimex SA and the Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM SA for the general implementation of the investment called “Construction of the Lwówek Gas Compressor Station. Stage I”,” the stock exchange announcement said.

The construction of the Lwówek Gas Compressor Station will enable the integration of the national gas transmission system with the Yamal gas pipeline. The investment received funding from the European Union amounting to PLN 559.9 million.

For the construction of two gas pipelines and the Lwówek Gas Compressor Station, Gaz-System received PLN 884.5 million in funding from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment (FEnIKS) 2021-2027 Program; the total value of these investments is PLN 1.5 billion.

100% owned to the State Treasury, the gas transmission system operator Gaz-System is responsible for the transmission of natural gas and manages the most important gas pipelines in Poland; is the owner and operator of the LNG terminal in Świnoujście. (PAP)
