All seedlings – vigor for the whole season: I add a pinch under each stem – strong, green, without frail sprouts

When the seedlings have just hatched, they are especially vulnerable: they stretch out, turn pale, and the leaves wither even with the most careful care. Many people immediately grab growth stimulants from the store, but there is a much simpler and cheaper method, proven over decades.

It is enough to sprinkle a small pinch of wood ash under each stem every 10–14 days, literally on the tip of a knife. Ash works gently but powerfully: it provides potassium, phosphorus and trace elements, strengthens the stems, makes the leaves rich green and protects against blackleg.

After just a week, the seedlings stop reaching for the light and become dense, with short internodes. Exactly the kind you dream of planting in the garden. And most importantly, there are no chemicals or risks. Only what remains after the stove or fire.

This technique is suitable for tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants – it benefits all vegetables. It is important not to overdo it: ash is not a fertilizer in the usual sense, but rather a support. Two or three feedings during the entire period of growing seedlings and they will grow to such an extent that even experienced gardeners will envy.
