Millions earned from illegal parking lots were recovered from the ex-deputy head of the district in Krasnoyarsk

In Krasnoyarsk, the court ordered the former deputy head of the administration of the Sovetsky district of Krasnoyarsk, Evgeniy Sleptsov, to pay 2.1 million rubles to the state. These funds are recognized as corruption income that he received from the illegal business of operating parking lots.

As the prosecutor's office recalled, Sleptsov led car parking business from March 2022 to April 2024. Using his official position, he resolved landscaping issues, selected parking lots and interacted with counterparties, transferring money to his partner on an equal basis.

In addition, he helped an acquaintance avoid a fine for parking on the sidewalk by instructing the secretary of the administrative commission to replace the photographs on file. For this, he and his accomplice received suspended sentences.

The ex-deputy was sentenced to suspended imprisonment for 4 years 1 month with a probationary period of 4 years, with deprivation of the right to hold positions in state and municipal service for 2 years.

After the verdict came into force, the prosecutor's office filed a new claim – for the recovery of all income obtained from crime into the budget. The court supported this demand, ruling to seize 2.1 million rubles.
