Searches are taking place in the house of ex-mayor of Petrozavodsk Vladimir Lyubarsky. The former head of the city is suspected of taking a bribe.
According to our information, we are talking about an amount of several tens of millions. The city manager received the money as part of an agreement with Dietgroup, which provides food to hospitals and clinics. Legislative Assembly deputy Vitaly Krasulin, who was an intermediary in the transfer of the cache, is associated with the company. He was detained at the end of March for attempting to bribe an FSB officer.
Lyubarsky left his post in June 2023 and went to the Northern Military District, and five months later he returned home after being wounded. He has not yet been detained; a criminal case has been opened against him.
