One person died and two were injured in an accident in Kansk district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the traffic police reported.
It all happened the night before at 1034 km of the R-255 Siberia highway. The 37-year-old driver of a Toyota car, moving from Krasnoyarsk in the direction of Kansk, drove into oncoming traffic, crashed into a metal fence and collided with a Mitsubishi heavy truck.
As a result of the incident, a 40-year-old passenger in the car died, a 25-year-old passenger and the driver were hospitalized.
“It was established that the deceased passenger and the injured driver were not wearing seat belts. In addition, the Toyota had tires with different tread patterns installed on one axle. Currently, an investigation into the accident is being carried out, the causes and circumstances are being clarified,” the traffic police said.
