Yenisei River Shipping Company increased investments in fleet repairs by 45%

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Yenisei River Shipping Company allocated 1 billion 644 million rubles for fleet repairs in 2025, which is 45% higher than the costs of 2024.

The enterprise has the most powerful fleet on the Yenisei – about 400 vessels for various purposes. Their preparation for navigation, repair and maintenance are carried out in the company’s own departments.

The shipping company's repair and maintenance bases carry out work of any complexity: they renew the hull plating of motor ships, replace main engines, diesel generators, heating boilers, and install modern navigation instruments. An autonomous power supply system with solar modules was installed on three barges: they plan to use it on other non-self-propelled crew vessels.

The company's specialists also carry out major restoration repairs of ships. In 2025, the company restored six barges and two pusher tugs. Work continues on the overhaul of six more non-self-propelled and five self-propelled fleet units.

ERP also continues a large-scale fleet renovation program, equipping it with modern equipment and requalifying it as a sea class for operation as part of a large group in the Yenisei Gulf.

In addition, the company's fleet is being replenished with new vessels. For example, over the last four years, Norilsk Nickel has allocated about 2 billion rubles. for the purchase of ten new sea barges of the BPM-2500 project for the shipping company. And in 2025, another series of 10 units was ordered, this time barges of Project 1960M. Two of them have already been delivered, the rest are expected in 2026-2027.

“Timely and complete repairs of the fleet are the key to successful and trouble-free operation during the upcoming navigation. By replenishing and modernizing the fleet, the company is preparing to implement new projects, including the development of trans-Arctic transport corridors: delivery of cargo from the Krasnoyarsk and Lesosibirsk ports to Dudinka with subsequent transshipment to the Northern Sea Route,” said Andrey Viskunov, General Director of Norilsk Nickel – Yenisei River Shipping Company.
