After 28 years, CS Rapid Bucharest managed to qualify again for the finals of the National Women's Basketball League. The band from the capital beat FCC Basketball UAV Arad 2-0 and is one step away from title number 10 and the event.
At the beginning of 2025, after the breakup of CSM Constanța, coach Alexandru Olteanu and several players arrived at CS Rapid Bucharest, together with Andrei Talpeș, the former director of the club from the city on the shores of the Black Sea.
Thus, the team from Giulești became a force in Romanian women's basketball. A year later, Rapid won the Romanian Cup, after a final with FCC Basketball UAV Arad: 81-52. This was the first trophy of the white-cherry group in 31 years.

CS Rapid Bucharest has 9 championship titles in its record, obtained in the period 1951-1978. 20 years later, in 1998, the team from Giulesti qualified for another final, but was defeated, and then followed a 28-year drought. Now, Rapid will fight for title number 10 and for the event.
