The President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, who was in Milan in connection with the inauguration of the Winter Olympic Games, met on Saturday with the president of the International Olympic Committee, Kirsty Coventry. The president of the Polish Olympic Committee, Radosław Piesiewicz, also participated in the meeting.

Piesiewicz wrote on the X platform: “We had a good and substantive meeting with the president of the International Olympic Committee, Kirsty Coventry, regarding the organization of the Olympic Games in Poland.”

Bogucki added that the president also recalled Poland's rich experience in organizing major sports events – the EURO 2012 football tournament and the World and European Championships in various disciplines. “It is a pride to be the President of Poland and to apply for such matters,” said Nawrocki's words, the head of the presidential office.
