The first domestic serial electric car “Atom” is being tested in harsh climate conditions.
According to Vestnik of the Surgut Region, the developer chose Ugra as the main testing ground before launching the model into series.
Residents of Surgut have already begun to see the prototype car on the streets of the city and share its photographs on social networks. Now manufacturers are testing systems that are critical for operation in Russia: the operation of battery thermoregulation, driving performance and the charging process in severe frosts.

The Atom electric car was developed by JSC Kama. Its official start of sales in Russia is scheduled for April 2026.
