The Queen of the Netherlands will undergo military training. The Ministry of National Defense in The Hague reveals details

According to the Dutch Ministry of Defense, the Queen will undergo short military training, including: physical preparation, basic shooting and orientation in the field. Reservists may be engaged, among others: in crisis operations and assistance during natural disasters.
What training will the Queen of the Netherlands undergo?
What does the Queen's decision to join the reserve mean?
How long does Queen Maxima train?
What is the history of the royal family's involvement in defense?
The royal palace did not deny this information, limiting itself to a laconic comment. According to the Ministry of Defense, the Queen's participation in the reserve is of great image importance and may increase interest in military service, especially among middle-aged people – you can join the reserve until the age of 55.
Maxima's decision is part of the broader involvement of the Dutch royal family in defense matters. Her daughter and heir to the throne of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Amalia, has already completed military training and holds the rank of corporal, combining studies with activities in defense structures. The Queen will be sworn in as a reservist after completing her training.
