Krasnoyarsk power engineers explained what unauthorized work near power lines leads to.

Specialists of the branch of Rosseti Siberia – Krasnoyarskenergo regularly have to restore the operation of power lines that are damaged by special equipment in different areas of the region during unauthorized work. At the end of 2025, 31 outages occurred due to construction and unloading work in the security zone of power lines without coordination with power engineers.

A recent case was recorded at the end of 2025 in Krasnoyarsk. On Biathlonnaya Street, during unauthorized work in the security zone of an overhead power line with a voltage of 110 kilovolts, special equipment damaged the power line. According to eyewitnesses, the driver left the scene.

As a result, some residents of the Oktyabrsky district, as well as a hospital, several schools and kindergartens were affected by a power outage. To eliminate the technological violation, a team from the Krasnoyarskenergo branch was involved. Power supply to consumers was restored as soon as possible. Following the incident, the power engineers contacted the police to identify the culprit.

“Any unauthorized work within the boundaries of the security zone can cause damage to equipment, accidents, even death, as well as lead to disruption of power supply and power outages in residential areas and socially significant institutions,” said the production safety department of the Krasnoyarskenergo branch.
