UK Responds to Russia’s Claims Over Drone Supply to Ukraine

Reports indicate that Ukraine has been utilizing British drones for long-range strikes against Russia since August 16, 2026. According to British media, these drones have been in deployment for the past six months.
The Russian embassy stated that by supplying UAVs, the UK becomes an “accomplice and co-executor” of Ukrainian attacks.
“London’s actions will inevitably have consequences for which it will have to answer. The deeper its involvement in the conflict and the greater its support for the Kyiv terror machine, the higher the price it will have to pay,” the statement read.
In response, a spokesperson for the UK Ministry of Defence told BBC News that the country stands “shoulder to shoulder” with Ukraine.
“There should be no doubt in Russia about this government’s determination to confront Russian aggression—both in Ukraine and regarding Britain and our allies,” the spokesperson stated.
London is “fully committed to providing Ukraine with the necessary equipment to defend itself against the illegal invasion of President [Vladimir] Putin,” the spokesperson added.
A military source confirmed to BBC that British drones have been employed in attacks that reportedly caused Russia over £35 billion (approximately $47.4 billion) in economic damage.
