The President of the Ilfov County Council, Hubert Thuma, claimed on Tuesday that he voted against the dismissal of the leaders of some organizations because he wanted “a fair discussion” within the party, not because he is “the worst PSD-ist in the PNL”.
Thuma commented on the vote from the PNL leadership meeting, which took place on Monday evening, in a post on his Facebook page.
“For some time now, the idea has been credited that people from PNL who have PSD in their hearts have allied themselves against Mr. Bolojan. In other words, that we would have sold out. That “the bad PeSeDists from PNL” would have voted yesterday against the replacement of the leaders of some sector organizations in Bucharest and in the country,” wrote the liberal.
Three of those who opposed the dismissal of the heads of some PNL branches were the presidents of the county councils in Brașov, Giurgiu and Ilfov. In Brașov, out of 58 mayors, 30 are PNL mayors, to which is added the municipality of Brașov. In Giurgiu, out of 54 mayors, 43 are liberals, to which is added the municipality of Giurgiu. In Ilfov, out of 40 mayors, 32 are liberals, detailed the president of the Ilfov County Council.
“So, if we are to analyze “for good and for value”, we will have the image that, however, the proposal of Mr. President was rejected by people with very good electoral results, who cannot be accused of being “the bad PeSEDists of the PNL”, he also wrote.
Hubert Thuma justified the vote “against” by the fact that he wants “a fair and constructive discussion, a serious analysis from which it will be clear where we need to make changes and for what reasons”.

Gabriel Andronache prevailed in the race for the head of the group at the Chamber of Deputies with 29 votes in favor, while Ciprian Dobre (the candidate from the Thuma wing) obtained 22 votes, according to HotNews sources from the meeting.
