“Professions that until recently seemed niche or hobbyistic can now provide solid earnings and job satisfaction. This is a signal that it is worth going beyond the patterns and trusting your own ideas for life, including professional ones,” argues Krzysztof Inglot, labor market expert and founder of Personnel Service.
What professions are these? In the US, for example, demand for new robot experts is growing.
“The development of humanoid robotics and the so-called collaborative robots (cobots) creates a demand for specialists who will train, program and supervise them in everyday tasks. Such an expert combines the competences of a robotics engineer and a trainer. It teaches robots precise activities, solves problems in human-machine interaction and ensures the safety of working with the robot. An expert in the design and programming of robots with a human stature is one of the elite of highly paid engineers. On the American market, it can count on an average of approx. 84.5 thousand. dollars gross per year (approx. PLN 295 thousand gross per year), and the best specialists exceed the ceiling of PLN 138.8 thousand. dollars gross per year (over PLN 485,000 gross per year),” we read in the Personnel Service analysis.

House manager
What professions are still in growing demand? For example, house managers or estate managers. He is a person who takes comprehensive care of the assets and properties of the richest people in the world.
This job is to be the chief operating officer of a private residence. The responsibilities include, among others: managing household staff (gardeners, cooks, drivers), coordinating events, supervising renovations, logistical care of travel and the owner's whims. Often, one caregiver supervises several residences in different countries, traveling between them. The average annual salary in the United States reaches approximately PLN 151,000. dollars gross (approx. PLN 532,000 gross per year). According to industry reports of private home service, typical ranges are in the range of PLN 100,000-400,000. dollars gross per year (from approx. PLN 350,000 to PLN 1.4 million gross per year), depending on the experience, scope of responsibilities and class of the owner's assets – experts say.

A burglar employed by a bank
As representatives of the Personnel Service argue, the profession of a “legal bank robber” really exists. He is a specialist in testing physical security who, at the request of a bank or other financial institution, tries to break into protected facilities, using his experience and knowledge. This type of testing is known as red teaming or physical penetration testing and is also used in government facilities, technology companies and data centers. It requires not only technical knowledge, but also improvisation skills, psychology, logic and… courage. The average penetration tester focused on physical tests earns approximately PLN 120,000. dollars gross per year (i.e. approximately PLN 420,000 gross per year). Typical rates range from PLN 96,000 to PLN 141,000. dollars, and the most experienced specialists can count on a salary of PLN 158,500. dollars per year, i.e. over 550 thousand. PLN gross per year.
Facial training
Facial yoga is a niche wellness field that is gaining popularity thanks to social media. The instructor conducting such classes often works on her own account, offering courses and workshops. In Poland, a facial yoga trainer can earn approximately PLN 5,000-9,000. PLN gross per month (assuming regular classes). However, the actual income depends on the number of clients, popularity on the Internet and the scale of services offered (e.g. individual lessons, online courses) and may amount to several thousand per month.
The art of ceremony
With the growing popularity of wellness rituals in Poland, there is a need for sauna masters, i.e. people who conduct sessions and ceremonies in saunas. In Poland, earnings for this position are approximately PLN 3-4.5 thousand. PLN gross per month, but for experienced people the range is higher and ranges from PLN 6,000. up to 8 thousand PLN gross per month. These amounts refer to full-time spa rates. Independent freelancers can earn more for single ceremonies, although their income can be irregular, the analysis says.
