
Draniki are delicious potato flatbreads that are considered the national Belarusian dish. And it is in Belarus that there are many variations of their preparation. So, in the house of every Belarusian housewife you will be offered not just potato pancakes, but potato pancakes with a secret, and more than one.
We are talking about boiled sausage and cheese. These two additives give classic potato pancakes even more piquancy, an unusual pleasant taste and tenderness. We tell you how to cook.
Ingredients:
- potatoes – 650 g;
- onion – 150 g;
- boiled sausage – 200 g;
- cheese – 200 g;
- egg – 2 pcs.;
- dill – 0.5 bunch;
- flour – 80 g;
- salt, pepper – to taste;
- vegetable oil – for frying.
Preparation:
- Grate the peeled potatoes, sausage, cheese and onions on a coarse grater. Stir.
- Add chopped dill, salt and pepper to the mixture, stir.
- Add eggs and flour, mix again.
- Place the potato pancakes, forming them with a spoon, into a hot frying pan with oil and fry over medium heat until golden brown, 5-7 minutes on each side.
Sausage gives potato pancakes nutritional value and a special flavor, and cheese makes them even more tender and airy. The potato pancakes are brown on the outside and hard, like chips, but soft and airy on the inside. Serve with sour cream. Bon appetit!
