Kanets did not want to cross the road at the zebra crossing and died under the wheels of a car (video)

An attempt to cross the road outside a pedestrian crossing ended in tragedy for a 49-year-old resident of Kansk.

The press service of the regional police said that the previous evening the man fell under the wheels of a Toyota Caldina car and died on the spot from his injuries. A 57-year-old city resident was driving the car at the time of the accident; administrative material was filed against him under Part 1 of Art. 12.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Driving a vehicle in the presence of malfunctions.”

An investigation is being carried out into the death of a man on the road, based on the results of which a decision will be made in accordance with the law. Currently, State Traffic Inspectorate employees continue to establish all the circumstances of the incident.

Let us remind you that earlier in the Krasnoyarsk Territory a bus driver was put on trial for hitting a pedestrian on a zebra crossing. A criminal case was opened against the man under Part 1 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles.” The maximum punishment he can receive is imprisonment for up to 2 years with deprivation of the right to drive for up to 3 years.
