Bogdan Andone, the coach of the FC Argeș team, criticized Marcel Bîrsan's refereeing manner, after the defeat suffered in the 25th stage of the SuperLiga, 1-3 with Cluj University.
The winners' goals were scored by Macalou ('12, '84) and newcomer Stanojev ('64), while Sierra ('66) scored for the Pitesti group.
“I told the boys that in teams that want the play-offs you have to be very well organized and the details will make the difference. The first goal was unlucky. The ball was deflected, bounced. Then we controlled the game completely. We had a bar, two or three good chances. The second goal identical, from a non-existent set-piece.
I don't want to comment on the refereeing. I can hardly resist. Such a way of refereeing… you say we're playing basketball. We are not allowed to touch each other. You say we were at basketball and they were at wrestling.
Any contact was a foul for the opponent, but it doesn't matter. An inaccuracy at goal two, at a fixed phase that was or wasn't. After that I entered the game, I scored, at 2-1 Matos had a clear goal ball. A mistake by Blagaic followed, a parallel step and U Cluj has experience, quality, valuable players and they charged us. That was the history of the game,” Andone said, according to digisport.ro.
Bogdan Andone: “We have a budget of 12th place”
The technician from FC Argeș spoke about the fight for the play-offs, praising his players for their performances this season.
“Our direct fights are with Slobozia, Csikszereda, Metaloglobus and I don't even know who is there anymore. What did Slobozia do? We don't even compare ourselves financially with Petrolul. We don't compare ourselves financially: in the first 11 ranked, we are in 12th place in terms of budget. That's what Dani Coman also said. We have a 12th place budget.
What the boys are doing on the pitch is fantastic for the club. The objective is to avoid the bottom four positions. We want more, the boys had an extraordinary season, that's something else.
There are five games left, we will try to collect more points and see if we will be in a play-off place or a play-out place. We will continue to fight to stay in the top 12,” said the coach of the Pitesti team.
FC Argeș is 5th in SuperLiga, play-off place, with 40 points, while U Cluj has accumulated 42 points and climbed to 4th position.
