The police's behavior caused outrage. The Israeli authorities change their mind

“Over the past few days, Iran has repeatedly attacked the holy sites of all three monotheistic religions in Jerusalem with ballistic missiles. During one of the attacks, missile fragments fell several meters from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre,” Netanyahu's office said on Platform X.
Israel explains the incident. “The reason was safety”
“Today, due to extreme security concerns, the Jerusalem police prevented the Latin Patriarch, Cardinal Pizzaballi, from celebrating Mass in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher,” the statement read. “There was no malicious intent, just concern for him [kardynała] security,” said the Prime Minister's office.
Israel changed its mind
In response to the incident that sparked a wave of criticism of Israel around the world, Prime Minister Netanyahu's office announced the preparation of a plan that will allow Christian leaders to conduct services in the temple.
On February 28, U.S. and Israeli forces launched a war against Iran, which in retaliation began attacking targets in the Middle East, including cities in Israel.
