“I know that you expect from the Romanian state what is natural in a modern country: fast, correct public services, without unnecessary roads and without delayed responses. I know that you expect respect through efficiency. Well, I am here to tell you that I did not stop what I promised. As Minister of the Economy, I put back on its feet an important project from the PNRR, abandoned by others: the robotization of repetitive processes in state institutions. It is that type of project that does not noise, but it changes the way we interact with public administration“, Radu Miruţă wrote on Facebook on Tuesday evening.
According to him, 240 bureaucratic processes have been selected and are to be automated this spring.
“32 institutions will work faster with each other, you will receive clearer and faster answers, you will get rid of unnecessary roads. Estimates show that such automation in an institution leads to an economy of over 40,000 hours of manual work – time that can be redirected to the direct relationship with the citizen. In addition, errors will be reduced by over 75%, in some cases by 100%”, explains the former Minister of Economy.
He states that he reviewed the implementation stage with the ADR team and the companies involved in the project, not only for the Ministry of Defense, but for the entire project.
“I made sure that we bring it to an end through a memorandum adopted by the Government. There are still delays, there are still steps to speed up, but we are on the right track. Obviously, it is a team effort and it is important that all the ministries rev their engines. The modernization of the state does not come overnight, but it comes step by step, if we do not give up”the Minister of Defense also declared.
