Mountain goats began to come to inspectors every day at the border of the Sayano-Shushensky Nature Reserve

Siberian mountain goats began to regularly come to the southern cordon of the Sayano-Shushensky Nature Reserve in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

As state inspector of the security department Natalya Veryasova says, the capricorns began to visit almost every day. On the last day of observations, a herd of about 30 individuals approached the porch of the service house.

“They literally came up to the very porch of the house and calmly grazed. Among them were both females with cubs and older animals,” an employee of the reserve shares her impressions.

Experts explain this trust of wild animals by the strict conservation regime. In the protected area, there is completely no poaching factor or any economic activity, which allows ibex to feel safe and gradually get used to the presence of humans at the cordon.
