Krasnoyarsk Children's Clinic will pay mother 127 thousand for medical negligence

A court in Krasnoyarsk ordered the city children's clinic No. 2 to pay the child's mother more than 127 thousand rubles as compensation for poor quality treatment. The woman proved that doctors ignored her son’s serious health problems for more than a year.

According to the lawsuit, since January 2023, the mother has repeatedly contacted the medical facility with complaints of constant snoring and frequent colds in the child. According to her, the otolaryngologist performed only superficial examinations, the prescribed treatment did not help, and after identifying the boy’s adenoids, the doctor’s tactics did not change.

When the child began to have hearing problems, the doctor limited himself to the procedure of blowing out the ears with a medical bulb. After this, the boy was put on a waiting list for an operation, the wait for which, according to the appointment, was supposed to be six months. Without waiting, the mother went to a private clinic, where she paid 68,500 rubles for emergency surgical treatment.

The Sverdlovsk District Court upheld the claim, recognizing the guilt of the clinic. The medical institution was charged 50,000 rubles in compensation for moral damage and 77,340 rubles for reimbursement of treatment costs.
