Electronic invoices for companies. There is new information about the KSeF system

KSeF already works for the largest companies
The National e-Invoice System was launched on the night from Saturday to Sunday. At this stage, the obligation to issue invoices in the system applies to enterprises whose sales value, including VAT, exceeded PLN 200 million in 2024. According to estimates of the Ministry of Finance, it is approximately 4.2 thousand. companies, i.e. the largest entities operating on the Polish market.
From February 1, 2026, all companies will be obliged to collect invoices via KSeF, which means a full transition to electronic document circulation in business relations.

Subsequent stages of system implementation
In the next stage that will begin On April 1, 2026, the KSeF system will cover the vast majority of entrepreneurs. Only the smallest companies will be exempt from this obligation. According to the regulations, these are entities whose monthly turnover subject to invoicing in KSeF does not exceed PLN 10,000. zloty. This means that from April, the system will also apply to a significant number of people running sole proprietorships and issuing invoices to other companies.
The smallest entities will be covered obligation to use KSeF from January 1, 2027.
No penalties during the transition period
The Ministry of Finance also reminded that in 2026, no penalties will be applied for errors in the use of KSeF. This is to give entrepreneurs time to adapt to the new system and calmly implement electronic invoicing in their daily activities.
