
The Ukrainian moved up two positions after her performance at the Australian Open, where she reached the semi-finals and lost only to the world number one Arine Sabalenka from Belarus.
In the top 10 of the world rankings, 31-year-old Svitolina is the oldest tennis player. The American Jessica Pegula (sixth racket in the world) is the same age, but she is more than six months older than the Ukrainian.
Svitolina’s best position in her career is third place in the WTA rankings in September 2017.
There are seven Ukrainians in the top 200 of the WTA rankings updated today. Four of them improved their positions in the ranking.
