Tragedy for the PAOK family: 7 supporters lost their lives in a road accident in Timiș County
During the day of January 27, a serious accident occurred on DN6-E70, near the town of Lugojel, Timiș county. A minibus with 10 people, PAOK supporters, was traveling to Lyon for the Greeks' match with the team from Hexagon. The vehicle overtook, tried to return to its lane, but swerved in the opposite direction and hit a truck that was moving normally. 7 people died.
Investigators discovered that the driver may have been under the influence of prohibited substances at the time of the impact and found drugs and alcohol in the remains of the vehicle. Last night, at midnight, the coffins with the lifeless bodies of the seven PAOK fans arrived in Greece, and thousands of fans were waiting for them at the “Toumba” stadium.
