Gigi Becali (67 years old), the owner of the FCSBsaid who, in his opinion, will win the title of champion in this Superliga season.

Gigi Becali is betting on U Cluj in the race for the title of champion, even if Universitatea Craiova is currently seen as the favorite at the bookies.

After the first two stages of the play-offs, the bookmakers give Olten a 2.20 chance to win the title. U Cluj is the second favorite, with 3.95. The podium is completed by Rapid (4.50), and CFR Cluj is next (6.00).

Gigi Becali: “U Cluj will be champion”

“Let's see who we will play the tie with, with Dinamo, Rapid, CFR. I don't think with U Cluj, they will be champions”, said FCSB's boss, this evening, on the show “Fotbal Club”, from Digi Sport.

At the conference preceding the match with FC Botoșani, Mirel Rădoi announced that keeping Ștefan Târnovanu on the bench will not last long. Becali had ordered Matei Popa's kid to enter the goal, after the mistakes made by the holder in recent years. The champion's boss now says he will respect the coach's decision.

“Mirel Rădoi can do what he wants with Târnovanu, because I forgot that I have a football team. I'm just talking to you and reminding myself that it's part of my fortune. I think Mirel will do the job.

I'm not worried that Mirel won't win the play-out. It will break the Botoșani, these people”, Gigi Becali also said.

Next stage in the play-offs:

  • FC Arges – Dinamo (Saturday, 19:30)

  • Rapid – U Cluj, Sunday, 20:30)

  • Craiova – CFR Cluj (Monday, 20:30)

Even if there are not many games left until the end and there will be changes in the goal, because we have to see the other players who are currently U21, not only in training, but also in matches. And obviously this situation will change in the future.
