Being in the fight for a place in the play-offs, with quite small chances, Farul received a hard blow. The white-blues will no longer rely on one of the starters from the last games, Steve Furtado (31 years old), in the matches of the regular season of the Super League.

The 31-year-old right back was injured in the game won on Sunday, at Petrolul's ground (0-1)being replaced in the 68th minute by David Maftei (21 years old).

Cristi Ganea, closer to the comeback

Another basic player, also a fullback, Cristi Ganea, is unavailable after undergoing meniscus surgery at the end of last year. Aged 33, the footballer covering the left flank of the defense is at the end of the recovery period, preparing separately, under the supervision of the physical trainer.

The former international could only start normal training with his teammates next week and return to the field for the final games of the regular season.

In the current edition of the championship, Cristi Ganea collected 19 matches for Farul, achieving two decisive assists.
