Cătălin Itu has evolved throughout his career at teams such as CFR Cluj, Dinamo, Poli Iasi and Krumovgrad, before the experience in Plovdiv. At Dinamo, he was part of the team that was relegated for the first time in the club's history.
Lokomotiv Plovdiv is currently in 6th place in the Bulgarian league with 32 points after 20 matches.
