Removal of abandoned vehicles continues in Krasnoyarsk

Since the beginning of 2026, four abandoned cars have already been removed from the streets of the Sovetsky district of Krasnoyarsk, the administration reported.

So, on January 28, a car that occupied a parking space at an adult clinic on Metallurgov Avenue, 1d went to the special parking lot. He received many complaints from citizens.

Let us remind you that the forced removal of abandoned cars began in Krasnoyarsk in the fall of 2024. These are considered to be those which have not been used for 30 days or more.

“To identify an abandoned vehicle, you need to pay attention to several signs – a layer of dust, flat tires, as well as open access – this could be broken windows or missing doors,” said Elena Lanina, head of the Sovetsky district administration.

The owner of an already evacuated car has three months from the date of its removal in order to return the property. If the owner does not show up during this time, then through the court the car will be transferred to municipal ownership. Last year, a similar fate befell one car abandoned in the Sovetsky district. And in just 12 months, 43 were taken out of the area.

In order to return a car that was considered abandoned and taken to a special parking lot, the owner must submit an application to the Office for Work with Homeowners Associations and Development of Local Self-Government (Glinka Street, 37zh). You also need to pay for tow truck services and storage in the parking lot.
