According to the information provided to PAP, Anna Maria Ślęzak meets the independence criteria required for an independent member of the supervisory board. In the submitted declaration, she confirmed that she does not conduct any business competitive to the company, does not participate in competitive entities and is not listed in the Register of Insolvent Debtors.

Anna Maria Ślęzak is a graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Częstochowa University of Technology, the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the University of Łódź and the University of Economics in Kraków. In 2023, she obtained a doctoral degree at the Krakow University of Technology in the discipline of environmental engineering, mining and energy.
Since August 2024, he has been the general director of PGE Dystrybucja Łódź Branch, covering the area of the Łódź Voivodeship and parts of the Świętokrzyskie, Masovian, Silesian and Greater Poland Voivodeships. She also conducts teaching activities in the field of power engineering and energy efficiency and is the originator of postgraduate studies at the Lodz University of Technology.
The change in the supervisory board is not the only personal move in the management of PKP Cargo. On Wednesday, the supervisory board of PKP Cargo appointed Zbigniew Prus to the company's management board and entrusted him with the position of president from February 2, 2026. The appointment of Zbigniew Prus, who currently holds the position of president of PKP Cargo Service, was the result of a qualification procedure.
At the same time, the supervisory board of PKP Cargo resolved that on February 2, 2026, the period of delegating Monika Starecka, a member of the board, to temporarily perform the duties of the president of the management board, would end.
