The Eurocash Group, the owner of the Duży Ben chain of specialized alcohol stores, is changing the chain's business model from an agency to a franchise one – Eurocash announced in a press release. The change planned for 2026–2027 is intended to accelerate the development of the chain, increase the availability of stores for customers and strengthen sales.

As indicated, the process of implementing the franchise model in the first stage will focus mainly on four voivodeships – Masovian, Lower Silesian, Greater Poland and West Pomeranian – and four cities: Warsaw, Wrocław, Poznań and Szczecin.

As indicated, the transformation of existing branches will begin in the first quarter of 2026 and will last until the end of 2027. All newly opened stores will operate exclusively in the franchise model.

“This is an important element of the long-term development of the Eurocash Group. Franchising allows us to combine the strength of a large organization with the entrepreneurship of local partners, and at the same time respond faster and more flexibly to changing market conditions. We see in this model a real potential for further sales growth, increasing the availability of stores for customers and building a stable business scale in the coming years,” said the president of Duży Ben, Agnieszka Kozłowska, quoted in the press release.

The transformation will be carried out in stages. The remodeling of the outlets, from the website and interior to visual merchandising, will be fully financed by Eurocash, and the franchisees will receive stand-by remuneration during the store remodeling and comprehensive support for the implementation of the franchise model.

“Duży Ben's franchise offer includes a fully equipped store, a simple operating model, a training package, and a bonus system, including sales and quality bonuses. Franchisees also gain access to the network's digital channels, including a dynamically developing mobile application and E-&Q-commerce channels,” the release states.

It was added that partners will also be able to use additional services tailored to their location and sales potential.

“We have designed the transformation of the Duży Ben chain in such a way that the transition process for future franchisees is simple, comfortable and supported at every step. Our goal is to create a model that will allow partners to focus on sales and business development, and allow us to consistently build a nationwide scale of the chain,” added Kozłowska.
