President Nicușor Dan came to the consecration service of the National Cathedral on Sunday accompanied by his partner, Mirabela Grădinaru, and their two children, Aheea and Antim.
The presidential family attended the consecration service inside the National Cathedral, along with around 3,000 other official guests.
After they got out of the car, the president's family was met by a representative of the Church, on the esplanade in front of the Cathedral. The president's youngest son started taking photos, then went in another direction, but was “recovered” in a few seconds by his mother, who grabbed his hand.
The moment was captured in images broadcast live by Trinitas TV and picked up on social media.
Afterwards, on the steps of the cathedral, the president and his family went to the crowd of worshipers and greeted them.
