On Tuesday, the District Court in Łomża dismissed the defense lawyer's complaint against the arrest of a man suspected of, among others, for unlawful threats and insulting the constitutional body of the Republic of Poland. This concerns an incident during which slurry was spilled near the house of the Minister of Agriculture, Stefan Krajewski.

The information about the dismissal of the complaint was confirmed by the spokesman of the District Court in Łomża, Jan Leszczewski, in an interview with PAP. He added that the court found the grounds for the use of detention cited by the District Court in Zambrów to be justified.
On January 12, the Zambrów court partially accepted the request of the local prosecutor's office arrested the suspect for two months. The prosecutor's office asked for three months. The decision was invalid and could be appealed against.
500 liters of slurry under Stefan Krajewski's house
The incident occurred near the house of the Minister of Agriculture, Stefan Krajewski, on January 9 this year. The minister informed that someone spilled slurry near his property in the province. Podlasie, tried to damage the fence and made threats against it. The case was investigated by the police. A 35-year-old woman from the province was arrested in this case. Lublin Province.
The investigation was initiated by the District Prosecutor's Office in Zambrów (Podlaskie Voivodeship). The suspect was charged with using illegal threats due to his political affiliation against Minister Krajewski, insulting the constitutional body of the Republic of Poland, andcriminal offences – in this case it concerns the Prime Minister and three ministers (including Minister Krajewski) and about the president of Warsaw. The threats covered by the charges also concern the wife of the Minister of Agriculture. The suspect faces up to five years in prison.
“Individual protest” against Mercosur
In the description of the act, the prosecutor's office assumed that on January 9, the suspect arrived by bus at the property belonging to Stefan Krajewski and spilled approximately 500 liters of a “brown-green” substance in front of it, then drove away, but returned and then – in a conversation with the minister's wife – made threats, “referring to her husband's political activities and criminal threats to commit a crime to the detriment of her or her loved ones.”
Then he published his actions and behavior in a video on a social networking site. There – according to the prosecutor's office – there were threats of punishment due to political affiliation against the Prime Minister, the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Agriculture and the President of Warsaw.
When questioned as a suspect, he did not admit to committing the alleged act, he provided an explanation in which he indicated that the substance poured in front of the minister's house was slurry and he did it as part of his individual form of protest – the prosecutor's office said in a statement issued on January 12.
“During his explanations, he expressed dissatisfaction with the government's policy regarding the agreement with Mercosur countries, as well as with the lack of consent for striking farmers to enter Warsaw,” the prosecutor's office added. On the day of the incident, there was a farmers' protest in the capital against the EU's agreement with the Mercosur countries.
Due to the fact that the investigation concerns the so-called hate crimes, they will be continued not by the Zambrów district prosecutor's office, but by the Łomża district prosecutor's office. She is the one appointed – in this prosecutor's district – to handle such cases. (PAP)
