Rapid prevailed 2-1 on the field of UTA Aradbut the match was overshadowed by the behavior of the hosts' supporters, who displayed and chanted messages with a racist tone, both to the white-cherry fans and to the patron Dan Șucu.

From the beginning of the match, the Arada gallery displayed acid banners, and throughout the entire game the messages continued, many of them having a racist character. Racist slurs and derogatory banners also targeted Dan Șucu's collaboration with the Italian club Genoa, but most of the attacks were directed directly at Rapidu supporters, who were offended by offensive references.
